Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts who reside in Atlanta. At an early age the father of her mother became obsessed with acting. He was a part of the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions around Atlanta. He joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a play together with Betty Lou Bredemus. Both married in 2005 and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter and his wife left the military in and enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter joined Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after the family moved from Atlanta to Georgia's Decatur in the year 1960. In 1964, Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning TV show known as Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed their own. They also founded the Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It was in operation for a period of 6 years. In the meantime, they also had two youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
